Happy Sunday?

The Seaside Rock service was absoutely fabulous and really brought home how much the children had absorbed over the last few days. The sang and danced, talked about what they had enjoyed and had a really good time. We could only stay at the BBQ for a short while as Gracia has a rehearsal for the production of Summer Holiday which she is dancing in. After dropping her off it was back home for more bookwork :( . At least I have nearly finished the VAT return (late again), have finished the banking and have all day tomorrow to pay the suppliers and finish the year end. At least once I have finished those things I will be free to get on with some serious scrapping. I am hoping to do a little on Tuesday, depending on what time training finishes at school, as I am going to visit my best scrap bud Eileen and may be able to sneak a little bit of cutting and sticking into my bag for when I spend time with her later.

Gracia is on a weeks work experience starting tomorrow and so is, as I type, trying on every item of clothing in her wardrobe which will then turn into every item of clothing on her bedroom floor! She thinks that David and I have OCD as we say "Tidy your room" so often she feels that it must be some sort of compulsion! If I get a chance I will take a sneaky photo and post it on here later - he he he he he.

GETTING TO GRIPS WITH IT!

It has been a very busy week and I am trying to get to grips with so many things.

1. The VAT return, the business year end and paying the suppliers.
2. The reality of being back at work next week
3. How little I have got done over the last 6 weeks

BUT mainly

This blogging business.

Gracia and I have had a really busy week helping at our church holiday club - Seaside Rock - for children aged from 5 to 11. It has been hard work but very rewarding and such fun. The numbers grew as the week went on and I managed to produce enough sets of craft for 47+ children over 4 days - a mammoth task but along with the help of my dear friend Rosemarie we managed each day.

I am so immensely proud of Gracia as she has given up 5 mornings of her precious holiday (she has had lots of GCSE course work to do this time) to help with the holiday club. It really brings home how blessed we are to have such a beautiful and caring daughter. The children all loved her and wanted to sit with her and hug her. She looked after them, played with them, helped them make their crafts and sang and danced along with them to the songs.

My little heart swelled with pride when one of the mothers of a pre-teenage girl said that it made their daughters want to continue to come to church when they saw girls as old as Gracia (15) happily going along and helping with the holiday club work.

Have not had any time for scrapping at all this week as so many other things have taken over my time. Hope to get some done next week.

The next thing to get to grips with is sorting out how to make a slide show. Eeeek!

But I am going to try to put my August Scrapagogo designs on the blog first.

And also the lo I made for the Scrapagogo 3rd Birthday Celebrations.

and finally, a sneaky peek of August/September 'This Month/Last Month' for Scrapagogo.

Hey it's worked. Onwards and upwards from now on!
